El Salvador is about the size of Massachusetts, so getting around is easy. The capital, San Salvador hosts many top hotels with all the amenities.  The city has four modern malls, beautifully designed for a great shopping and dining experience. There are museumsmonumentsgalleries, parks, and activities for children. Nightlife? The "Zona Rosa" is the most popular district for restaurants, bars, and live music.

Outside of the capital, head for the coast to one of the resorts or intimate seaside hotels. The beaches are wide and shallow with warm Pacific waters. El Salvador is known for its legendary surfing and there are several hotels that have surf packages for the pro or novice. Diving, deep-sea fishing, and ocean kayaking are also popular.

El Salvador is the land of volcanoes and there are several scenic routes that wind their way through the mountains. The temperatures are cooler and the landscape is breathtaking with cloud forests, crater lakes, and of course, coffee plantations. Along the way, stop at Mayan ruins, and small villages for artisan handicrafts

Aside from a great vacation, what most tourists take away with them is how warm and hospitable the people are. Salvadorans have a great love for their country and will to go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. So in the land of sleepy volcanoes, come and discover this hidden gem in Central America.
