PriceSmart, Inc. announced that for the month of February 2007, net sales increased 20.6% to $63.3 million from $52.5 million in February a year earlier. For the first six months ended February 28, 2007, net sales increased 19.3% to $424.8 million from $356.1 million in the same period last year. There were 23 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of February 2007 and 2006.
For the five weeks ended March 4, 2007, comparable warehouse sales for warehouse clubs open at least 12 full months increased 20.8% compared to the same five-week period last year. For the twenty-six week period ended March 4, 2007, comparable warehouse sales increased 19.1% compared to the comparable twenty-six week period a year ago.
