Casa de Mar was opened in 2003 by developers Ernesto Moreno and Alfonso Alvarez. Both avid sportsmen, the hotel was their dream of the perfect surfing getaway. If you don't surf, that's okay too. The property offers a relaxing atmosphere and a variety of other activities.
Casa de Mar sits perched on a slope with direct access to the Sunzal beaches just north of La Libertad. The grounds are beautifully maintained and Cafe Sunzal is right nextdoor.
In addition to Casa de Mar and Cafe Sunzal, Mr. Moreno and Mr. Alvarez have opened a small boutique hotel in the capital called Casa Las Magnolias. The hotel is located in the heart of the Zona Rosa near all the restaurants and city attractions.
